How It Works
Pick a Reddit context from the tabs (Post Title, Self-Post Body, Comment, Subreddit Name, Username, or User Bio). The counter uses grapheme-aware Unicode counting so emoji and combining characters count exactly the way Reddit counts them on the server.
The progress bar stays green while you have headroom, shifts amber past 82 percent, and turns red within 5 percent of the cap or over. Each tab keeps its own draft in localStorage so you can iterate on a title and body in parallel without losing either.

About Reddit Character Limits
